British Chefs tell how to cook a steak

Sometimes, the most simple of tasks can be the hardest to master.  When cooking a steak, it often has to be "just right" and thus can be difficult to perfect.  Here is a video of Gordon Ramsey.  He is a famous British chef with multiple television shows both in the UK and America.  Enjoy. View on You Tube. Another British celebrity chef,  Jamie Oliver,  has his own channel.  Here is a video from that channel.

About Fresh Fork Meats

I forgot to write about this last week.  I like to start the winter by bringing to light the financials behind pasture raised, artisan meats.  Eating a healthy, all natural diet isn’t easy nor cheap.  It is my goal to work intelligently with my producers to get you the most bang for your buck. Over the winter, because we’ll feature more meats, I’ll spend some time educating you on meat production and the distribution challenges associated with locally raised meats.  By

Grassfed Beef

OK, no beating around the bush here. If you like your beef cooked well, just throw this meat out now. It’s not meant to be enjoyed well done. Steaks should be medium at most; roasts cooked slow with moisture; and ground is A-OK dark pink in the middle and juicy. Grassfed beef is extremely lean. The marbling effect that gives conventional, corn-fed beef its buttery flavor is that of fat. That fat comes from putting the animal on diet of corn

When you cook too many burgers…

I often find that my eyes are bigger than my stomach (and I have a large stomach and matching hollow leg too).  And I usually hate reheated burgers…but I refuse to throw away any food. So I’ve “repurposed” them from lunch/dinner to breakfast.  Chop some onions and crumble the burger.  Add those two ingredients to a skillet with butter and cook until the onions are tender and slightly browned.  Add some cheese, peppers, or seasonings if you like. Serve on a plate with sunny side up eggs.  Break the yolks over the beef and enjoy!

Scrambled Eggs and Ground Beef

Being a Clevelander, you have likely had corned beef hash and eggs.  Of course, you crush your eggs over your corned beef hash, right?  Well why not cook over beef?  Or just cook them in? Here is a simple breakfast treat.  Break up some ground beef and sauté it with olive oil or butter. This may be done with old hamburgers too.  Just add more oil/butter for moisture. When the beef is browned, add some beaten eggs. Stir and toss with a spatula.  Add salt and pepper. Done!
